The article addresses the risks that poor data quality present when managing high criticality infrastructure assets. A framework for asset information governance is provided which ensures strategic alignment of asset information management with the asset management objectives stated in the organisation’s Strategic Asset Management Plan.
A step-by-step process for linking asset management processes with the data and information they consume is outlined.
